Dawn is quickly becoming one of the most sought after artists in the industry, and her passion for education keeps her up-to-date on all the latest trends. She is a friendly, enthusiastic and creative stylist who focuses on providing each client with a professional level of service. In addition, she presents her clients with in-depth product knowledge, styling tips, and she pays the highest attention to detail and personal lifestyle. She consistently goes the 'extra distance' to ensure her clients' satisfaction with the final results.
Dawn continues to receive training from some of the top stylists in the industry, learning the field of precision cutting and customized color applications. In addition to her cosmetology license, Dawn has attended various courses, receiving certifications from Loreál Professionnel, Bumble & Bumble, Deva, Redken, SoCap Hair Extension, Bio Ionic, Zerran, and Pravanna Hair Straightening treatments. She specializes in bridal design, providing a full spectrum of services including haircuts, coloring, styling, permanent and clip-in hair extensions, and chemical hair straightening treatments that are full of movement.
Dawn began as an apprentice colorist in Greenwich, Connecticut, and has since demonstrated her skills and commitment in Westchester County. She can accommodate a wide range of styles, from traditional hair design to chic and trendy fashions and welcomes you to stop by for a complimentary consultation.
Leidy Cabrera

All our clients know Leidy gives the best shampoo and scalp massage. Leidy also loves to do up-dos, men's cut, color and blow dry. Hair Design/ Updo Specialist
Val specializes in curly hair and special occasion updo's. She has the skills and the eye for curly hair and understands the texture and how no curly girl has the same curls. "Great curls start with the right cut, then the product and the technique support the cut and great curls will follow" is one of Val's favorite mottos.
Val trained at Devachan, and uses their dry cutting method that cuts curly hair in its dry natural state. She also has a niche for special occasion up do's and believes that an updo is the bride's main accessory (other than the dress). She focuses on the details whether it is a simple chignon or a detailed style. Val believes that a woman's day to shine is on her wedding day, and every bride deserves to feel special and unique. Val suggests having an accessory to put in your hair if you decide to take your veil off, or if you choose not to wear one. The accessory must accent the updo and compliment the dress.
Since she has started at Shine, Val has quickly been able to magnify her technical skills and artisitic creativity behind the chair through a wide range of educational opportunities. She always loves a challenge and has proven to deliver more-than-satisfactory services when dealing with all hair types — not just curly!

Justine's love for make-up started at a very early age. She always admired the teenage girls in her neighborhood and wanted to look just like them. The minute Justine could start wearing make-up, she tried to be different and creative with it. Her high school friends always depended on her to make them up for special occasions because what had started out as a fun hobby, later turned into a more serious passion. After becoming a mother of two, she wanted to do something that she would love and still be able to raise her children. Make-up was her first choice and decided to take classes for Bridal and Airbrush make-up application. Justine took her hobby to a new level becoming a Professional Make-up Artist. "It's fun, trendy and always enjoyable. It's important to me to always offer my clients the latest, most up-to-date make-up applications. I plan on furthering my career in make-up and continuing to do what I love most!"

Michele been In the Beauty Business for over 26 years, and has been gifted with the talent of being a great pedicurist. Michele likes the challenge of being able to make all feet feel and look amazing and was given the title of "best pedicurist" by Westchester Magazine in 2008. Michele says "I'm a very thorough pedicurist, and I'm very particular with cuticles being done right, and I give a great massage to top it off. I also enjoy being held in high regard by my clients. It makes my days at work worth it. Wink!"
Barbara Faustino

Barbara is a licensed cosmetologist who is now working as a hair assistant. She gives a great scalp massage that’ll leave you wanting more! She is a friendly person who tries to make every client feel comfortable and relaxed. Since starting at Shine, Barbara has learned many new techniques that will later be useful to her as a stylist. She looks forward to utilizing these new, creative ideas on clients in the near future.
